Women in Tech

Basic Pass + Gold Pass

Women in tech

Managed by: Bárbara Yuste (Adigital)

“Women in Tech” promotes the role of women in the technology sector through their personal experiences. We need references and models to inspire a more central role for women in technology. A European Commission study published in October 2013 concluded that if more women joined the European digital world, it would grow by 9 billion euro each year. According to this survey, for every 1,000 European women with a degree or diploma, only 29 have a university qualification in Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

In this track, we will present leading women from this sector with very influential roles at national and international technology companies, as well as entrepreneurs and important women in different areas like education and activism, among others.

Ana Etxebarria
Quarizmi
Quarizmi

Ana Etxebarria

Co-founder & COO – Quarizmi

Ana’s priority is the customer experience, which she understands must start from within.

She believes the power of the word-of-mouth to be the most potent marketing force to grow and retain the universe of our customers. She believes it is the consumer who creates the rules for the sale process now, is not the sellers’ choice anymore. Make a consumer mad and be ready to have the best word of mouth advertiser against you. She believes that those customers who are excited about their experience with a product or, as in her case, with a service, can become straightforward preachers for a company. She believes it is this group of “satisfied believers” the one that make a difference and spreads the good name of a company among their relations. And she believes that organizations that focus on building word-of-mouth into mature evangelism grow faster, are more profitable and have big-picture ideas that somehow change the world. She thinks It’s fun, thrilling stuff.

Ana worked as Chief Customer Officer and Global Technical Support Director for ten years in Panda Security and now is co-founder and COO in Quarizmi AdTech SL.
