Considered one of the best chefs in the world, Berasategui is a mastermind of contemporary cuisine. He is constantly caught up in the creation of new dishes and flavors. Having practically lived in kitchens since the tender age of 13, he started out at the family business where he became the head chef at only 21 years old. Five years later he received his first Michelin star.

In 1993 he opened Restaurante Martín Berasategui, which got a Michelin star one year later, another in 1996 and a third in 2001. This restaurant is in the top 30 across the globe. This year it has been named Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the world by TripAdvisor users in the Travellers’ Choice Awards 2015. Berasategui will participate in the ninth edition of the European Ecommerce Conference 2015.

In addition, his vast experience has brought him many awards, including Spanish Pastry Chef of the Year, Best Creative Dish, Best Spanish Chef of 1996 and the San Sebastian Golden Drum, no doubt the most delightful of all. But it was the Grand Prix de l’Art de la Cuisine that situated him as one of the most famous chefs in the world and the best Spanish chef in the most prestigious travel guides. In 2011 he became the only chef with seven Michelin stars in Spain. He currently directs 10 restaurants.

Nadia was born in Soviet Russia and pursued her education in mathematics and science in the city of Moscow. In 1987 she began her career, after emigrating from Russia to Israel, as a software developer working on Computer Aided Design systems for industrial robotics. Her work attracted the attention of professors at Princeton University in the US, where she was offered a full scholarship for study and research.

During her PhD work, Nadia performed research at AT&T Bell Labs and co-founded Starlight Multimedia, a developer of multi-media applications. Her work at Princeton resulted in several important papers, referenced by over 200 publications. She received a PhD in Mathematics from Princeton. In 1994 Nadia joined a technology startup, Diamond Technology Partners, working with a variety of major retail companies. Later she joined a JP Morgan Venture startup, Mobilocity, as its Managing Director in charge of the wireless division. Following her leadership role at Mobilocity, Nadia became a pioneer in the emerging world of energy trading, joining Exelon as the manager responsible for the energy trading algorithms and software.

Nadia joined Amazon.com in March of 2004. As Technology Vice President of Amazon’s Worldwide Operations she owned technology powering Amazon’s global supply chain and fulfillment. Nadia also served on Jeff Bezos’ senior leadership team responsible for overall direction and operations of Amazon. Nadia lives in Seattle with her husband and sixteen year-old daughter.

Since September 2014, Cabrerizo has been the CEO of Unidad Editorial, one of the biggest communication groups in Spain (publishing El Mundo, Marca, Expansión and Telva, among other brands). He is currently directing the company’s technology and digital transformation process. He will participate in the European Ecommerce Conference 2015.

He also led GE Energy’s Global Strategy and Planning team for five years. Prior to joining GE, he was Director at Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA). He also worked as an independent consultant for a variety of corporate and government clients, including the US Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee, US Department of Energy, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the World Bank.

Dr. Evans has extensive international energy experience, including two years as a Visiting Scholar at the Central Research Institute for the Electric Power Industry in Tokyo, Japan. His many articles and policy monographs include: The Age of Gas and the Power of Networks (General Electric, 2013), The Industrial Internet: Pushing the Boundaries of Minds and Machines (General Electric, 2012); Japan: Bracing for an Uncertain Energy Future (Brookings Institution, 2006), Liberalizing Global Trade in Energy Services (AEI Press, 2002) and Fettered Flight: Globalization and the Airline Industry with D. Luciano Ammenti is the Chief Information Officer at the Vatican Apostolic Library. He has held this position since 1983. His career development has seen him become the head director of document digitalization at the Holy See. Ammenti began working on this preservation task in 2006, taking care of the library’s Computational Systems. Since 2008 he has participated in a study on FITS (Flexible Image Transport System) preservation projects, in collaboration with the Information Technology Center at the Faculty of Astrophysics in Rome.

In 2011 he began a new professional challenge as Chief Information Officer of the digital preservation trial project, after the Vatican decided to digitalize its 82,000 manuscripts to preserve their historic and documental nature. With this objective, Ammenti technically implemented the test bank for the digital preservation of these documents.

Ammenti has also participated as a speaker at many conferences on internet governance, security, defense, data management and public administration.

Nick has present and past academic affiliations at the Berkman Center for Internet Society at Harvard Law School and the MIT Media Lab, and is on the advisory boards of the Data & Society Institute, the Data-Smart City Solutions initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, the Tummi urban ventures accelerator, Living Cities, and Code for America.
