The foundation of a good ecommerce strategy is a 360º vision incorporating digital tools in all the company’s areas of business. That’s why the European Ecommerce Conference is a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary event, completely unique in its approach to ecommerce in Europe.

However, we couldn’t stop ourselves from highlighting the best practices of online shops and the main experts in online sales. This is the Ecommerce Summit in a nutshell, an event within the EEC offering various conferences and activities.

Ecommerce cuts across and breathes into each and every one of the event’s content. However, we want this program, filled with success stories and good practices, to take on a life of its own. The focus will be on the following topics:

Founder – Synergic Partners

Founder and partner of Synergic Partners, a strategic and technology consulting firm that specializes in Big Data, Data Science and Data Engineering. 

Carme also sits on the Technology and Innovation Committee of the CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations), is a member of the Industry Advisory Board of the IDSE at Columbia University (NYC) and is a speaker on Big Data in international forums such as Strata + Hadoop World, and an associate professor on several master’s programs in new technologies, Big Data and innovation.

Carme has over 18 years of experience in the industry, in management positions and as a director in multinationals and public and private companies in the technology sector. 

Carme has an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the IQS, a degree in Chemistry from Ramon Llull University, a postgraduate degree in Industrial Business Management and Executive Education in Venture Capital at Berkeley University- Haas School in California.

Beatriz Oficialdegui

Marketing Director – Destinia

Beatriz Oficialdegui is the director of marketing at Destinia, one of the five largest travel agencies in Spain. She began her professional career in the US, working in the marketing department of an international company in the paper sector. Subsequently, she joined the online publicity agency 101, specialized in viral marketing.

After working at the Google Ireland headquarters for five years, managing clients in the tourism sector for the Spanish market, Oficialdegui has now spent another five years at Destinia, where she is in charge of designing and implementing the marketing strategy, as well as continuing to magnify the brand image and the reputation of the agency in general.

With more than ten years’ experience in the world of marketing and particularly online marketing, Oficialdegui is an expert at defining cross-channel strategies to increase sales. This year she will participate in the ninth edition of the European Ecommerce Conference.

Marian Mata

Head of Initiative ECOMMERCE – SPRI

Marian Mata is the head of the ECOMMERCE Initiative led by Spri, the Basque Business Development Agency under the wing of the Basque Government. At Spri, this professional has participated in many different tasks related to the design and management of strategic reflection plans, as well as programs and initiatives to support the Basque Country’s business community, including those aimed at supporting the use of new technologies to increase business competitiveness.

Before joining the team at Spri, Mata always combined her professional career at private consulting companies in the areas of corporate strategy, innovation and technology, with teaching roles at the Deusto Business School, where she has been working for around fifteen years.

Marian Mata will be with us at the ninth edition of the European Ecommerce Conference 2015.

Rodríguez, an ecommerce enthusiast with more than fifteen years’ experience, is the founder and director of the project Fitness Digital. This online store was created in 2006 with the goal to become a leading international project in Europe for fitness equipment online sales.

The company already has more than 450,000 customers and has exceeded a twenty million euro turnover. One of the four largest fitness stores in Europe, its products are sold in Europe and Mexico, in seven different languages.

Rodríguez began his professional career in the IT and consumer electronics sector at Área PC, where he was the purchasing and marketing director. This year he will be speaking about ecommerce at the European Ecommerce Conference 2015.

Merkatu has been helping global companies develop and transform their business through online channels for more than 10 years. It provides solutions and support for launching multi-channel business strategies (online and on&offline), defining business processes with new technologies, implementing technical solutions, and determining and assisting their execution with comprehensive online marketing solutions and, ultimately, taking part in companies’ digital transformation processes to generate business.

Barrena, the co-founder of Merkatu, is a digital strategy specialist. He helps companies from many different sectors with their business development, offering comprehensive ebusiness, ecommerce and online marketing strategy. With more than ten years’ experience in the internet world, he is also a professor at various post-graduate programs, such as Business Development in the Digital Channel and Online Marketing Strategy.

In addition, Barrena is part of a team that is helping to develop Spri’s ECOMMERCE Initiative. We will see him this year at the European Ecommerce Conference 2015.

Today his focus is on getting the word out about Frosmo’s approach to growing your online business. Being also a stand-up comedian, he is not only an engaging, but also an entertaining speaker!

Julio Usandizaga is an on-the-go entrepreneur, with extensive experience in the business communication arena. Always ready to get involved by supporting initiatives that help develop and improve society. He has a strong attachment to rugby and played at a professional level with different teams. This sport has provided him with a strong foundation for teamwork and the tenacity to accomplish goals.

Julio is a tireless serial entrepreneur. Along with his involvement as a founder and CEO in the communications agency and online marketing: “Comunica720”, he participates as a founder and president of “Comprar Aceite de Oliva”; He’s also an investor and advisor in Coloriuris, SL; and President of the InternetEuskadi Association, one of the longest running internet associations in Spain. Regularly collaborates with initiatives and institutions such as Fundacion Novia Salcedo within the Learning initiative and Lanaldi program.

Currently, co-leading Katrina’s Finds, a project with an importer out of Oregon, USA , focusing on imports of European food products.

Eduardo Sanz Forriol is the sales director of Oney Servicios Financieros, a financial entity belonging to Auchan group and specializing in payment methods and financing solutions. He has worked there for eight years. During this time he has been in charge of sales strategy, as well as the vision and management of the company’s ecommerce products, driving innovation in payment methods and offering the market ebusiness financing solutions.

Sanz has developed his professional career at financial entities linked to the mass distribution sector such as Servicios Financieros Carrefour, C&A and General Electric Money Bank, among other companies where he has held important Marketing and Sales roles, making this professional a true expert in financing consumption.

At the European Ecommerce Conference 2015, Sanz will share firsthand his vision, knowledge and experience of financing in ebusiness, offering us practical responses to the complex challenges of the market we’re up against today.

Elsa has more than 10 years of experience in the advertising and internet sector, where she has taken different managing roles in strategy, business development and sales areas, and in particular, in fashion, travel, classified and telecommunications verticals. Before joining Criteo, she was Country Manager Spain and Portugal in Pixmania, and Country Manager Spain in vente-privee.comfor more than three years.

Marta Panera is the international director of Communication and PR at Showroomprive.com for Spain, Italy and Portugal, as well as the head of Business Development at the same company in Spain. She is a member of the Ecommerce Executives Club in Spain and the vice president of the Spanish Omnichannel Retail Council.

Panera was also selected as one of the 40 most relevant people “under 40” in the Spanish digital scene by the D/A Retail magazine “Generation Off/On 40 under 40”. This social communication journalist specializing in Marketing is a regular speaker at conferences on Marketing and Ecommerce, Online Reputation, Corporate Communication and Digital Marketing. She has also received a Bronze Global Mercury Award in the category “Web Sites/Emerging Media: Social Network” for the Unilever (TRESemmé) campaign Take Beauty Online.

Before working at Showroomprive.com, Panera was the head of the Online Division at the PR agency Marco de Comunicación and the director of Corporate and Product Communication at the same company. She was also the director of Communication for Publicis Group’s international clients in Spain and the director of Business Development at the PR network ECCO International Communications. She will tell us about her experience at the European Ecommerce Conference 2015.

Passionate about art and business, Tallón’s biggest obsession is contributing to create a more simple and friendly world. Ecommerce and the idea of actively participating in the digital revolution are the motivating factors for this Director of Marketing. His professional mission is to make Just Eat the best takeaway home delivery brand and a truly memorable company.

This year he will be up on stage at the European Ecommerce Conference 2015 telling us about his professional experience.

She has developed her professional career in the retail sector since 2003. Previously, she worked for the company First Data in the marketing and customer service departments. She now directs this perfumery’s online department and its entire digital strategy for the coming years.

In 2015, we will see her at the ninth edition of the European Ecommerce Conference, where she will tell us about her experience in the sector.

Marta Ayed is the deputy director of Confianza Online, an association created in 2003 by Autocontrol and the Spanish Digital Economy Association (Adigital) with the goal to increase users’ confidence in what they do on the internet. The company conducts in-depth analysis using specific parameters, displaying its seal on the websites that demonstrate an ethical commitment.

She is a lawyer specialized in New Technologies, Data Protection and Consumer Law, as well as an arbitrator at the National Consumer Arbitration Board and the Autonomous Community of Madrid Consumer Arbitration Institute. Ayed is also a teacher for various master and civil servant training programs, not to mention a data protection auditor.

Ayed will be with us at the next edition of the European Ecommerce Conference, where she will present her latest study on Online Confidence.
